The planning application for the redevelopment of Park Farm Barns went before Babergh’s planning committee on Wednesday the 28th November.
Whilst the application was passed, there were two significant amendments made to the application.
The first was that all construction traffic accessing the site must use the unadopted farm road that cuts across the field from the A137 directly to the site, meaning development traffic should not go down The Street and Vicarage Lane.
Secondly, that the applicant must develop the new road that directly connects the site to the A137 and this must be completed before any of the new development buildings are occupied. The planning office has also imposed a condition that suitable signage for traffic must be agreed as part of the development.
It was unclear if the applicant intended to put the updated road forward for adoption, but the committee were insistent that if it is not adopted, the applicant must ensure it is not restricted with gates or alike to restrict vehicle movements.
The application was passed unanimously by the planning committee.
